Meet Kaliyah 

Kia Ora.  I'm Kaliyah, the newest addition to the Howlistic Help team. I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer who helps at puppy school, dog walks, dog sitting and training sessions here at Howlistic Help. 

 

In 2022 I earned my certificate in Canine Behaviour Training from Unitec with my sidekick - Shadow. A six-year-old Weinmeraner with the hunger of a lion, an angel's face, and a snail's speed.

 

Canine behaviour has always fascinated me. Learning the different training techniques was a whirlwind, and I strive to train using force free training techniques and positive reinforcement. I was fortunate enough to meet Sam at Howlistic Help through Julie, a trainer I studied alongside at Unitec. 

 

In 2019 I adopted my girl Eilish, a ten-month-old Shar Pei x. A playful, high energy, and loyal dog. The more I got to know her, the more struggles and trauma I discovered about Eilish. It's heartbreaking,  knowing, yet incomprehensible to the trauma she has suffered before being rescued. She inspired me to learn more about canine behaviour and transform her from a reactive dog, to a dog who was no longer scared of the world. She is my joy, and I want to give her the most fulfilling life a dog can experience. I want to provide the knowledge and skills I have learnt from my journey and experience as a trainer, to other owners wanting the same goal for their own pup. 

 

My motto is "If I'm not having fun, they're not having fun". 

 

Based in West Auckland and near CBD, I grew up in South Auckland and frequently travel to North Shore. Ready to explore more of Auckland and meet you and your fur babies.
