Meet Maria

Hi, I’m Maria!

I am a certified dog trainer and proud member of the Howlistic Help team.

I completed my certificate in Canine Behaviour and Training in 2023 alongside our family dog

Tegan, and I was mentored throughout the journey by Samantha at Howlistic Help.

​

I have been obsessed with dogs for as long as I can remember and was inspired to become a professional dog trainer after my family began raising and boarding service dogs, which gave me the opportunity to

train service pups of different ages and temperaments.

​

My dog Tegan is a social, fun-loving Labrador who I helped raise through the guide dog program

but who was later withdrawn due to an eye condition. She now lives her best life as a pampered

family dog, and she also loves competing in scentwork with me.

​

I use force-free, positive reinforcement based training techniques with all the dogs I work with,

always adapting to each dog’s individual needs for a personalised experience. It would be my

absolute pleasure to help with training, walks, house visits, or house and pet sitting, all while giving

your pets the best time ever.

​

I am committed to becoming the best dog trainer I can be, so that I can help as many dogs and

hoomans as possible to live their best lives together. I am always looking for opportunities to

expand my skills and knowledge, and in my free time I can often be found reading up on everything

canine or trick training with Tegan!
